Duane joined the law firm of Bergmanis & McDuffey, L.L.C. in 2006. His practice focuses in the areas of personal injury, criminal defense, and workers' compensation.

Duane was raised in Abilene, Kansas, and attended Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in English, graduating with high honors. Duane was very active in campus activities during his undergraduate career. Upon graduation, Duane continued his education at Washburn by attending Washburn University School of Law, graduating in 2001.

Following law school, Duane worked as an attorney for Preferred Physicians Medical Risk Retention Group in Overland Park, Kansas, handling medical malpractice claims. Duane then worked for GlaxoSmithKline in Wichita, Kansas, before moving to the Lake of the Ozarks and becoming an addition to Bergmanis & McDuffey, L.L.C. Duane is currently licensed to practice in both Kansas and Missouri.

Duane is a Member of the Missouri Bar Association and the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys.
